Bay Fishing

Paul took the boys on their 1st bay fishing trip.  It was a success, no one became ill (excluding the fact that Paul woke up with "hairy black tongue", which was a first), and the men brought in 25 fish to clean.

The fish only took a few hours to catch, but Paul stood
there so long cleaning the fish that he got sunburned

Look at those faces, these boys worked hard

Wild Life Refuge

Paul and I took the kids to a wild life refuge near South Padre.  We went earlier this year, saw so many animals, had such a great time that we returned for another visit.  This trip was much cooler, unfortunately, we didn't see as many animals this visit.

Bird Watching

Not everyone "gets" the quietness of a nature trail.  Some see it as a chance to run free on a paved path and swat at the trees with sticks.  The boy in the back is trying to find solace ~ notice his head looking for it in his hands?!

Cadie skinned her shin on the brick ledge

Rebecca had a little splinter

Westin didn't want to be left out, so a little tape covers an old scrape

Cole got to drive 15 miles on a one way road

So Where Do You Go When You No Longer Have a Home?

...You run to the beach!  It's off season, deserted, a pleasant breeze, an indoor pool near our friends house that we are staying in, and not far from a soft, sandy beach.
This visit we've done a few things we haven't done before. Take a look.

10 Minutes after we got here Becca found a box of baking soda

I love these pictures of God's beauty

Deacon Paul

Sunday was quite a busy day for us.  We went to our church for the last time, took MeMaw to her favorite Mexican food restaurant which just so happens to be at the airport (only in small cities). Came home packed some boxes, cried a little, took the kids to AWANA.  Quickly came home got dressed and back to church.  Sunday night the church held a Deacon Ordination.  Paul and Jose (our realtor) were ordained.  Each man shared his testimony, and thanked his family.  It was great that Paul's mom was still with us, and able to share this with her baby boy.

I am so blessed to be married to my husband.  I love him, laugh with him, and am delighted to share this honor with him.

This is the House That Jack Built, I Mean Paul

It's official!  We are all moved out of our house, and onto the next chapter of our lives.  Just a quick, quirky side note, for those that know me best, you know I start my catalogs/magazines from the back (nooo, not books), so I praise God for all these character building places in my life right now. : )
We made sweet memories that will last our lifetime in the house that Paul built just for us.

The semi trailer made it to our 'holding place' (thank you Tracy & Shannon) Tuesday morning at 6:30am.  The trailer did have a blow out just 7 miles from our house.  However, the Lord had already made provisions.  A friend manages an 18 wheeler tire "re-treading" warehouse and service trucks that fix trucks with flats.  : )  Isn't God good? He took care of this for us as well.

Our Last Few Days in Laredo

Friday the kids said, "Good Bye" to their homeschooling friends.  Paul finished up 2 different meetings with local groups he participates in.  We packed, napped, and did some more packing.
