Bay Fishing

Paul took the boys on their 1st bay fishing trip.  It was a success, no one became ill (excluding the fact that Paul woke up with "hairy black tongue", which was a first), and the men brought in 25 fish to clean.

The fish only took a few hours to catch, but Paul stood 

there so long cleaning the fish that he got sunburned

Wild Life Refuge

Paul and I took the kids to a wild life refuge near South Padre.  We went earlier this year, saw so many animals, had such a great time that we returned for another visit.  This trip was much cooler, unfortunately, we didn't see as many animals this visit.

Bird Watching

Not everyone "gets" the quietness of a nature trail.  Some see it as a chance to run free on a paved path and swat at the trees with sticks.  The boy in the back is trying to find solace ~ notice his head looking for it in his hands?!
